Retirement on the Road

This blog was begun, generally, to pass on the adventures that Chris and I are blessed to experience on our travels throughout this awesome country that God chose for us. When we are not on the road, I pass on family pictures and other incidental happenings in the VanderHorst clan. We hope that you enjoy following us and find beauty in the pictures, inspiration...or just enjoy the scenery and/or the stories I spin.

About Me

My photo
Theresa VanderHorst
Waterloo, Indiana, United States
Having lived in OH, MI, IN, MO, IL, & CO., & I have loved each place. I am married to my best friend, Chris; we have 6 wonderful children & 21 grandchildren. Education & profession: a BA in General Studies. Most of my professional life was as social worker, activity professional, & marketing. Working w/ seniors seemed to be the most comfortable area. My husband & ; I love to travel, and in 2007 we purchased a small pop-up truck camper and traveled extensively in it. In 2008 we traveled through Canada, accross the AlCan Highway into Alaska, then from Prudeau Bay to Valdez in Alaska. What a wonderful experience! In 2010 we "upgraded" to a used Class C Four Winds RV. What space after camping in a pop-up truck camper !!! We are dog people; and have had our share. Present Pooch, is Tommy, the timid beagle. In 2012 we adopted Yoda, a chiweenie. Both are senior dogs (11 yrs) and love to travel.
