From Times Long Past

I imagine most of you don't know that Chris & I are BIKERS....yup..."biker mamma" and "biker papa". We should be so lucky. Just found this pic from our Yellowstone trip of 08. We took some pics for the bikers....then asked if we could use them as a prop. Was a bit of fun.....

Sugar is Home...finally

Our little Sugar decided that she wanted to see more of the big world....after she had found a loving family here since last summer when somebody dumped her as a very little and starved kitten. She KNEW she had it good here.... but decided to go a little further out in her world. She was gone for about 5 days. Stephanie went by the Humane Society, I posted on Craig's List, we drove along some of the close-by roads to check and see if there were any road-kill kitties....but to no avail. Then the other morning she just showed up at the front door....walked right in....and headed to the food bowl. She evidently hadn't eaten well on her sojourn.

The CHICKEN CRATE Adventure

This is how Andrea & Chris spent most of yesterday and this morning....making chicken crates. If you don't know what they are....you've probably seen hundred of them piled on a flatbed semi cruising down the freeway with feathers flying behind... The Deilh homestead now boasts a small flock of chickens that gives them a fairly steady flow of eggs right now. But there is time-to-time need for the crates: buying more chickens, taking to slaughter, taking them to school (Andrea works at a Montessori school that also has a small farm, hence Oak Farm School gets its name), etc.
Drilling, redrilling and readjusting everything took loads of time, but after the first one was built, it went much smoother on the second. Ty, Stephanie's brother-in-law, was here for the holiday, so he was out in the workshop helping lots yesterday. There was plenty of times that 6 hands came in handy.
Still raining outside....

PICS OF CHRIS & SUSAN'S GIRLS

And also....thinking of grandkids....here are Chris and Susan's beauties. Susan has a real eye for a good photo, I think. Location, location, location. But it sure helps to be taking pics of some real beauties. Am I predjudice????

REAGAN is THREE ! ! ! ! ! !

Grandpa and I were up bright and early this morning to go to Reagan's birthday breakfast. And here's some shots of the birthday girl herself. The cake is a blue mushroom....because blue is Raegan's favorite color.

This is the smile we get when we ask her to "smile"....looks a bit "plastered on"....but that's a three year old for ya.
You can see her daddy in the mirror taking the video.
Incidentally Grandpa made this table a few years ago.

Here's a picture of the whole smiley gang. And yes, that's Lincoln on the right. Yup....that's his 5 yr. old smile, too : -)

And 18 mo. old Kennedy is cute as a button, too.
Our picture with the birthday girl....isn't she beautiful?

Bennett Lake Revisited

This is posted so that Susan can see some of the pics that we took while visiting her parents cottage in Ontario.
